The IU Indianapolis Faculty Guide is provided by the IU Indianapolis Faculty Council and the Office of the Provost as a supplement to the University Policies.
IU Indianapolis faculty use the guide as they prepare for promotion and tenure; review policies that pertain to their work, research, and teaching; and is a general guide for all things faculty and campus-related.
The term "faculty," for use in this guide, is understood to be defined as all individuals serving full-time who are tenure-track, non-tenure-track, emeritus, or librarians of comparable rank and who perform their functions primarily in Indianapolis, or who having their principle functions elsewhere, have rank in an academic unit that is primarily situated at IU Indianapolis including IU Columbus and IU Fort Wayne (IFC Constitution Article 1, Sections A and B).
The Faculty Guide is updated collaboratively by the IFC through the Constitution and Bylaws / Faculty Guide Committee and the Office of the Provost. Questions regarding the contents should be directed to ude[dot]ui[at]licnuocf or ude[dot]ui[at]tsvrpiui.
